Our
Dentists
Dave Mantle BDS
Principal Dentist

David qualified from
Birmingham University in 1992, and has worked in general practice and
hospital surgery departments for a number of years. He has a wide
experience in dental procedures having completed two years
postgraduate training with world recognized dentist Paul Tipton in
Manchester. He is a member of the British Dental Association and the
Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at the Royal College of
Surgeons. Dr Dave has a particular interest in root
canal treatment, which involves the painless management and
removal of infection in and around teeth. Since becoming the
practice owner in 2001 he has been the driving force behind
Smilecares' philosophy of providing high-tech dentistry in a
relaxed and happy environment. With a weakspot for gadgets
'Dr D' has recently purchased 'videoglasses' for each surgery, which
allows patients to watch a dvd of their choice whilst having dental
treatment. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and he is on
the search for more innovative technology to make your dental
experience more enjoyable. Outside the practice David enjoys
family life in Chiswick with his wife and two young
daughter whilst also competing in Ironman
triathlons and marathons. His sights are also set
on Marathon des
Sables, 'the toughest
foot race on earth' in 2009 and there is also the rumour of
an English Channel swim, but if you get him talking
on the subject you're unlikley to get out of the practice for some
time.
Neale Katz
Dentist BDS

Neale qualified from
Witswatersrand University in 1986. He has been the longest serving
member at Smilecare and works part-time in order to spend more
time with his family. He has a particular interest in
restorative and cosmetic dentistry having completed the prestigious
Harris Sidelsky course in advanced restorative dentistry, and is also
an accredited Invisalign ( invisible braces) practitioner. At
home Neale has a busy family life, supporting his son's
interest in rugby. He has recently started playing
again himself and now plays for Windsor Veterans
which may explain the odd bruise or limp that he may be showing off
next time you see him! Just don't remind him of Englands recent World
Cup defeat in Paris; yes he does in fact support England, not South
Africa as many have assumed.
Sarovi Davda Dentist
BDS MFDS RCS (Eng)

Sarovi qualified from
Guy's and St Thomas Dental School in 2002 with an outstanding
distinction. She later passed her Fellowship in 2005 and is a member of
the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Dental
Association. Having joined us in 2006, Sarovi has
championed our emphasis on preventative dentistry, with her specialist
interest in periodontal care (gums). She is
currently enrolled on the part-time Eastman MSc in
periodontics. 'Rovi' as she has affectionately been
nicknamed has many interests outside Smilecare which include
performing Ballet and roller blading through Hyde
Park!
Our Hygienist Mette
Nielsen Dip Hyg

Mette has been part of
the team working as a hygienist for a number of years. As an
experienced Hygienist she enjoys using the latest ultra-sonic
technology to ensure patients have a great hygiene visit, and always
offers anaesthetic gel to ensure a comfortable experience, along
with ipod tunes to listen to. Mette enjoys the trappings of
Notting Hill but has recently discovered horse riding in Richmond park.
She recently failed to persuade Dr Dave to
buy a horse for the dental practice!
Our Nursing Staff
Charlotte Sarah and Antoinette

Our nurses have all
been with us for a number of years.
Charlotte, Antoinette and Sarah are qualified nursing staff
registered with the General Dental Council, and we are proud to invest
in their continuing education as they are an integral part of the
clinical team. They are instrumental in
ensuring that your experience at Smilecare is one that is
comfortable and one that you would happily recommend
to your friends. Without their support Smilecare
would be the same as every other practice.
Our Receptionist
Jan

Jan has been at
Smilecare for over ten years and has a been a huge asset to
the development of the practice. She has recently returned
from maternity leave after giving birth to her beautiful second
daughter, Ella. She can often be found on reception and is responsible
for the everyday smooth running of the practice. Behind the
scenes Jan is invaluable and manages numerous
administrative tasks keeping the practice on an even keel.
